Cyprus International University is the vision of Mr. Özer Boyacı. He founded CIU in 1997. The university is strategically located in Nicosia – the capital of North Cyprus.

The University is situated 5 km from the city center, 14 km from the Ercan State Airport, 50 km from the town of Famagusta, and 30 km from the coastal town of Kyrenia.

PHD PROGRAMS

Types of accommodation

Cyprus International University gives you the opportunity to choose between two main types of residence halls: studios and apartments. Studios do not have kitchens, except in some cases where shared kitchen facilities are available. All apartments come with a modern kitchen and a shared airy and spacious living room.

Other advantages include; Free high-speed internet connection, telephone, cable TV, and refrigerator which are available in all residence halls.

Outstanding hygiene and sanitation measures are taken to ensure that rooms and common areas are comfortable and fresh at all times.

Most importantly, resident halls are strategically located so that students can have easy access to the library, supermarket, laundry facilities, CIU Arena, mini cinema, cafes, and social hangouts to make your whole experience a fascinating one.
